Mission 1: PRW/Goal/Visualization Image

PRW = Powerful Reason Why

Celebrating my 33rd birthday with a chocolate birthday cake while holding a six-pack of abs. On a deeper level I also felt that after 6 years of failed attempts this was my “final shot” at a fair dinkum physique transformation before “middle age” set in.

Mission 2: 46 Days – Before & After

February 7, 2007 to March 24, 2008

Locations: Osaka and Phuket

Mission 2: PRW/Visualization/Goal Image

PRW = Powerful Reason Why

Get redemption in Phuket by going back to the exact same beach I was at 6 months earlier (when I was overweight) with a shredded six-pack. I also drew a lot of “positive pressure” from the process by which the result would be decided, i.e. public vote.

Since I started Mission 1 back on November 8, 2006 I have traveled to places I had always dreamed of (but never thought I’d get to) and met many of my online friends in person, including my fat burning mentor Tom Venuto and The New York Four, Suzette, Debbie, Joni and Lilla.

Trust me, amazing things can happen when you take massive and immediate action!

In the pics below you’ll see my hometown of Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, San Francisco, Orlando, Miami, Atlantic City, New York and New Jersey.

Enjoy!

Day 52: Gold Coast, Australia

MS-Q1-Top-Dec30-06-60Q-300W

A beautiful day today at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

First stop was Cavill Avenue, the heart of Surfers. We had an awesome seafood meal at a restaurant called “Seafood On The Beach.” The food was great and so was the location, situated on the boardwalk overlooking the main drag along the beach.

After that we took a ride up “Q1″, the world’s tallest residential tower. The 77 floor ride by elevator took only 47 seconds! The views from the observation deck are NOT million dollar views they ARE 100 million dollar views! Absolutely breathtaking.

Day 59: Kowloon, Hong Kong

Day 470 to Day 482: Orlando, Florida

I won this trip to Disney World in Orlando for a Web 2.0 Conference via an online video contest (you can watch the video below).

11) Al radioed ahead to have a taxi pick us up at the airport and take us downtown to this great restaurant ooverlooking the water for lunch (Caesar salad of course!). The local people were very friendly too.

Before I sign off I’d like to say a massive thank you to Al for his generosity in giving me such a cool experience and the time he spent (he also had to fly from Jacksonville to meet me) to pick me up and drop me off at Disney.

Thank you Al! I’ll never forget this experience!

Getting Crunched!

After my close encounter with The Shredder Smoothie I headed over toCrunch Gym (the major competitor to Gold’s Gym on South Beach) and I was very impressed! As there are two Crunches in South Beach I’ll file a detailed report tomorrow about the best one.

While I couldn’t take pics inside the gym I did get a pic out the front.

2) Out the front of Crunch Gym, South Beach

Chillin’ On Lincoln

From Crunch Gym I made my way back towards my hotel via the famous boulevard of Lincoln Road which runs right through the heart of South Beach. Lincoln Road is famous for its many restaurants, cafes, stores, clubs and the buzz it generates from 7:00PM every night!

3) In front of Van Dyke Cafe (hang out for “South Beach Royalty”) on Lincoln Road

SoBe 2.0

To cap off another awesome day I made my second pilgrimage to South Beach (SoBe). While yesterday was a write-off due to the constant downpour today SoBe was back to its stunning best.

The sun was out, the weather was perfect, the people were chillin’, just another day in paradise!

  1. oh I get it…. now Thanks. You’re really cool and hot. hahaha

  2. Haha, thanks Liz!

  3. big ambition!

  4. Hi. My name is Zach I’m from Mesa, Arizona in the United States. I happened to stumble across your website and I think it’s so cool that you’ve been doing this for so long. I purchased Tom Venuto’s book about 3 months ago and have been going strong since day 1. I started out at 217 lbs. at my heaviest about 6 months ago and am now down to 185 lbs. When I started Tom’s program 3 months ago I was 22.8% body fat and as of 05/15/08 I was 17.8% body fat. It’s amazing what can happen when you stop taking fat burners(pills) and start building muscle and losing fat with hard work and consistancy. It would be nice to have someone like all you to talk to and share progress. Thanks, Zach -Taking it meal by meal/ Day by day.

  5. Are you single? :)

  6. Awesome work dude.

Its nice to know that the ability to “transform” is always there, if you’re willing to put in the effort of course.

Letting yourself go is easy, because you don’t notice it happening, I learned that, but its good to know you can make the change again just as easy.

  7. I came across your video on you tube and then went to your website. Do you have a book out yet? I would like to train along with you via internet since I am in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

  8. nice work in your fitness. your body seem’slike a arnolds fijic. i think your are working very hard for aabs

  9. Gday Adam

From an Aussie living in the Middle east, in Qatar, City Doha, with the wife and kids, You are an inspiration Mate, Its so true that we call achieve amazing things when we put our minds to it.
Im 48 and started road cycling at 40, i was 105 kg, which is terrible for a 5ft 5 inch guy.
so over twelve weeks I took up cycling with the help of a good friend Graig Deane a tri-athlete in Melb and lost 18kg, and went from riding 4km and almost dieing to riding 200+ and feeling great.
Over the last the last 2 years we moved to Qatar ME and almost didnt ride for a year, Put on 8 kg and now over the past 4 months Im back on the Bike and starting to loose weight, my goal is to loose 13 more from here and be 80kg over the next 5 months and get back to long distance rides, 100km is Next week.

You will inspire thousands of people around the world, Keep it Up, You are a great example of what Aussies are as people.

    regards
