Chris Bowen – 84 Day Results on RTP

“RTP Taught Me How To Transform My Mind and Body!” by Chris
Over the past 2 or 3 years I have been depressed. In 2005 I changed jobs from a job I had put my heart and sole into, to a job which paid better money, had better benefits but was very unfulfilling. I have been working a very high stress job, as a yardmaster, taking care of a small farm at home, and never giving myself any time. I had become a couch potato, 258 lbs, with no ambition or drive to get out and live life!!
In November 2008 I made the decision to take my life back. I started studying nutrition and fat loss. I started going to the gym and going through the motions of my basically worthless workout plan. I was hitting the cardio hard, for me, and lifting with around a 50% intensity level.
I was trying to follow some good eating habits and I did lose a few pounds. January 2009, I am determined to change my life. I started doing longer sessions of cardio. I still really don’t have a workout plan so my main focus is on burning calories off with cardio. I made it through a 12 week BFL style program and I was getting some results but I wanted more, much more.
One morning I opened up an email from the BFFM news letter. In it I found the RTP system and was introduced to the RTP contest. I read through the material on the RTP page and thought to myself this is just someone else trying to get some of my money. I wanted to spend the money but was reluctant for a few days. I then decided to give it a try. It seemed legitimate and Adam Waters had done a very good job presenting his program in an honest and forthcoming way. He had Tom Venuto signing off on the program so I took the plunge. I purchased the program and was signed up for the RTP transformation contest.
The RTP program taught me the battle to change my life and transform my body was taking place in my mind! Knowing what to do and actually doing it was where I was falling short. I was pumped.
I had never thought about body transformation like this before. In Tom Venuto’s BFFM e-book I was introduced but it never really caught fire. When I actually put my powerful reasons why, (PRW) on paper and took the time to really think about why I had to change the fire was lit. I was driven to change my life. I was no more going to sit on the couch thinking about all I was missing out on because I had no drive to get up and go get it. I want to be a good example for my kids, of how hard work pays off and I want to have confidence at work. I want to get through the stressful situations, making good sound decisions and help the Rail Road run smoother. I want to have energy at the end of my day to spend quality time with the ones I love in my life.
Most importantly I want to be healthy so I can retire in 15 years with health and vitality so I can see the world. I want to live long enough to get back the money I have paid in for a quality life after I retire.
So I figured out nothing changes, if nothing changes, the same old output gets the same old results. My goal to win this contest and to go shake the hands and personally thank both Adam and Tom in NYC drove me through mission 1. I pushed myself to new levels of training knowing there was someone else who trying to work harder than me so I had to increase my intensity! No one was going to work harder than me!
One of the critical elements of my transformation was to hold myself accountable. Putting it out there for the world to see is a powerful driver, of discipline.
I added a form of accountability by sharing my goals with a friend. If they witnessed me cheating or not making progress the questions came out and answers had to come forth. It is easier to stick to the goal than tell people why you failed!
Food has been a big problem for me in my weight control failure of the past. Gaining knowledge in calorie deficit and controlling the amount of calories was critical to my transformation. Good food in Big results out!! Or as Tom Venuto puts it Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. The daily accountability logs help make the planning process of eating a snap. Feeding my body fuel rather than eating something because it looks or smells good has been a welcome change.
Having a training program all printed out on paper each day has been one of the best parts of the RTP system for me. I have been able to track my progression through mission 1. I never spend time wondering what I am going to do just go in and get it done. The workout can be as hard or as easy as you make them. I have put a lot into them and I got a lot of sweat out of them. Nearly every training session I did, I went home soaking wet with sweat. Part of my daily routine was a 25 minute cardio warm up before lifting. The RTP training program rocks. It changes up daily to keep things fresh and keep the muscles working hard.
My transformation is not complete. I have not seen the six pack of abs and I am going to get my body fat % to at least 9.9%. From there I will find a good healthy state and live my life healthy and happy. I am full of confidence, love, energy and I know I can achieve whatever I set out to do. My body has not felt this good since I got out of basic training when I was 18 years old. Rtp is a tool I will use to keep my health in good condition for years to come. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity of utilizing RTP to change my life for the better.
With the RTP lifestyle I have noticed I have more confidence. People at work treat me different. They are friendlier, and more willing to do what I tell them needs to be done. I have noticed that my new confidence has even changed the way I communicate with the upper level managers. We now have conversation and trouble shoot together rather than the calls filled with stress and one way communication. I love my new life. I love my family, who has supported me throughout my transformation. The pictures are worth more than words. I have made some serious progress toward my goal of 9.9% body fat. Measurements and scale weight are good motivation but not, in my mind, anything to brag about. My clothes are smaller, my heart is bigger, my lungs and muscle are much stronger, and life is great.
If anyone is looking for a serious way to change their life for the better, I would definitely recommend the RTP life style. The support and tools in the sphere are incredible. The people in the sphere are all people walking down the same path. Very positive things come from people when they are seeing positive results.
I am very grateful to be a part of something so good. Lives are changing, you should come join us and share your positive energy, ideas, and friendship.
Chris Bowen.
