Back on Day 340: Tom, TV & Traffic Explosion! October 14, 2007 NHK TV Japan broadcast a 5 minute story on my weight loss journey to 5,000,000 people. In the TV clip they included 2 of my home-made time lapse videos, 84 Days In 48 Seconds and 180 Days In 18 Seconds.
While a lot of my friends in Japan clearly understood the story (they are Japanese!) it was a bit tough for just about anyone else to understand as there are only 2 clips of me speaking English.

Today is one for the record books…7,000,000 total views for my videos on YouTube! What a spin out!
When I think back to the first ever video I posted on YouTube on Day 70 (which got 24 views in the first 3 days!) I could never have predicted I’d be hitting these numbers 2 years later! I would like to say thank you to everyone that has watched and taken the time comment (over 5,000 comments in total) on my videos.
I know from the personal messages I have received from people that these videos have inspired people to start (or complete) their own fat loss jouney. Quite honestly, that is the greatest thrill for me, just knowing that I may have inspired other people to take action on their body transformation goals.

Today I was very fortunate to meet a Fellow Shredder in person…the one and only Nadine from Construction Of Glory Girl Blog (inside ShredderSphere.com)! Nadine was on a long haul flight from Dubai and stopped into Brisbane on her way to New Zealand for a Shredder Approved Lunch, RTP Muscle workout and a ShredderSphere.com video interview!

It was awesome to meet Nadine in person, and I can say that Nadine really does practice what she preaches! Nadine test-drove the super-secret (and very intense) RTP Muscle workout for the first time and did awesome, she shredded massive! (we may even have some workout pics for you tomorrow!).

After our workout Nadine interviewed me on video with a list of 10 questions provided by esteemed Shredder, Earl Bloom from the “Big Apple Turnover” Blog. The first 5 questions were “serious” questions related to the RTP Transformation System, the ShredderSphere.com community, shredding tips, the 80/20 rule and inspirational Shredders (Dougal from Mind Body SuperFit!).

G’day Shredders,
Two years ago today on Day 228: “Real Time Accountability” Explained I first discussed this method of real time accountability (RTA) that you see below.
It has been amazing to see how such a simple idea spawned solid results for myself over Mission 4 and also for hundreds of other Shredders practicing real time accountability inside the ShredderSphere as we speak!
Time Is The Ultimate Equalizer
However, the thing that really stands out to me from this post (apart from the topic itself) is just how quickly time passes! It is amazing to me that two years has passed already since the “dark days” of Mission 3 when I contemplated wiping this blog off the Net.
I guess time really is the ultimate equalizer. We all get the same 24 hours each day and it is up to each of us as individuals to decide how we invest our time. We can decide to take massive action on our goals or we can decide to wait until all the conditions are “perfect” before taking that first step.
Our Day Will Come
The brutal truth is that time marches on regardless of what we do (or don’t do). We all only have a certain amount of time on this planet until our number is called. That day may come tomorrow or 50 years from now.
This feeling of uncertainty about how much time I have left is a strong motivating force for me. I harnessed this feeling a lot during the back end of Mission 1 after a particular event happened on Day 63: Live Every Day As If It Were Your Last. On this day I signed off with the following:
A few days ago my close Japanese friend informed me that one of her co-workers was found murdered at his workplace.
This story has been all over the local news here in Japan. He was killed by another co-worker in the heat of the moment. It was a petty dispute that blew out of all proportion and ended in a stabbing death.
Need I say anymore? You just never know when your time will come. RIGHT NOW you can make a choice. Would you rather live every day joyfully and energetically as if it were your last? Or would you rather die old in your rocking chair full of regret about what might have been?

Like my previous two Sundays since I have moved to the Gold Coast I had planned to get a pic out on the Coast today, but alas it is still raining…and heavily! It’s been bucketing down now for 3 days straight with no of let-up coming this week either. This weather is starting to remind of the “endless” rainy season back when I lived in Japan!
