Day 838: Unbelievable!
ByG’day Shredders,
I’m still having major tech issues here at the RTP Nerve Center. Unfortunately my Net speed is still at dialup speed (28.8 kps) which makes it time consuming to even load a single page.
However, I did work out the problem, it seems that one of my WordPress sites (not this one) was auto-freshing every 4 seconds, even when I wasn’t working on the site! This resulted in 15GB downloaded in 15 days!
This Is Unbelievable (Literally!)
Anyway, onto other news…as you may remember, back on Day 757: Fuji TV Profile Goes Live, my weight loss story was profiled on Japanese Network TV and broadcast live to 20,000, 000 viewers. I recently received a copy of this show on DVD (2 months after the air date!) and was able to watch it for the first time.
Here’s the kicker…The name of the show which aired the profile is called “Unbelievable”, and the actual profile itself was also a “little” unbelievable! Let’s just say they used a fair degree of “poetic license” with the re-enactments.
Of course, having lived in Japan for 8 years (and knowing their propensity to “sensationalize” TV stories) I was not too shocked. Once my Net speed back up, I’ll upload it…and you’ll see exactly what I mean!
In the meantime, if you’d like to watch a slightly more “reality-based” profile that another Japanese TV Network did on me back on Day 347: NHK Profile Goes Live, here it is below!

Adam,
Your hard work has been recognized. How deserving that is.
But the story continues as you take what you have learned from the real life lessons your experience has taught you, and you now share with the world what you have discovered. And those who read your blog are actually witnessing this story as it unfolds right before their eyes! How amazing and exciting is that?
Hi Carlos, thank you mate, I have learned a lot from you during the past year mate. I look forward to meeting you one day sir!
I echo the words ” the Boss”, what an incredible ride.
BTW, I don’t know if you are a cricket fan but even if you aren’t you have got to see the ball from Ntini that took out Ricky Ponting….absolutely amazing and completely unplayable.
Hi Dougal, haha, looks like the Aussies are fighting back mate after our Summer of discontent, where you guys took us down a peg (or two!). I love cricket mate, but don’t get to watch it too much these days (I do watch the 20/20′s though, they are awesome!)
