Day 838: Unbelievable!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

I’m still having major tech issues here at the RTP Nerve Center. Unfortunately my Net speed is still at dialup speed (28.8 kps) which makes it time consuming to even load a single page.

However, I did work out the problem, it seems that one of my WordPress sites (not this one) was auto-freshing every 4 seconds, even when I wasn’t working on the site! This resulted in 15GB downloaded in 15 days!

This Is Unbelievable (Literally!)

Anyway, onto other news…as you may remember, back on Day 757: Fuji TV Profile Goes Live, my weight loss story was profiled on Japanese Network TV and broadcast live to 20,000, 000 viewers. I recently received a copy of this show on DVD (2 months after the air date!) and was able to watch it for the first time.

Here’s the kicker…The name of the show which aired the profile is called “Unbelievable”, and the actual profile itself was also a “little” unbelievable! Let’s just say they used a fair degree of “poetic license” with the re-enactments.

Of course, having lived in Japan for 8 years (and knowing their propensity to “sensationalize” TV stories) I was not too shocked. Once my Net speed back up, I’ll upload it…and you’ll see exactly what I mean!

In the meantime, if you’d like to watch a slightly more “reality-based” profile that another Japanese TV Network did on me back on Day 347: NHK Profile Goes Live, here it is below!

Day 837: The Blaster…Down Under!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

Breaking News…my very good friend, Mike Groom (a.k.a The Aussie Bodybuilder,  a.k.a The Enforcer,  a.k.a ShredderSphere 2.0 Tech Guru!) has just gone live with his Quad Blaster Australia site!

That’s right, Mike Groom has been personally selected by Quad Blaster inventor, Carlos DeJesus, as the official distributor of the Blaster in Australia! Yes, this is the same Blaster that many other trainers (like Tom Venuto!) have used with great success.

So, if you live in Australia and want to add strength to your quads and reduce lower back pain (associated with Squats) then go to www.Quad-Blaster.com.au right now and check out Mike’s site (tons of great videos of people demonstrating the Blaster there too: http://www.quad-blaster.com.au/videos.htm )

One more thing…I’d like to thank Mike once again for his great work on ShredderSphere 2.0…zero hour for public release is fast approaching mate!

Until tomorrow…

Eat Clean, Shred Hard, Think BIG!

Cheers,

Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

P.S. I have some unbelievable (literally!) news to share with you tomorrow…stay tuned!

Day 833: A Star In Out Midst!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

I just found out that there is a musician in the ShredderSphere…it is none other than Celina from My Health and Fitness Journey Blog

Celina’s music video got great reviews inside the ShredderSphere 2.0 forum and blog network (Private community for RTP Transformation System Shredders – public release coming soon) so now I’d like to share it with you! (thanks Suzette for sharing!)

P.S. Unfortunately I have not been able to listen to Celina’s song as yet because my Net access has been throttled way back in the last couple of days as I hit the metered limit this month already! (Must have been the ton of refreshes I have done since starting the RTP Transformation System home page!). Anyway, hopefully I’ll be back to full speed in a day or two once the cap is increased…again.

P.P.S. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, I have some breaking news to share with you about a certain Aussie BodyBuilder!

P.P.P.S. As you may notice I got a cool addition on my neck wear! This was a pressie from my Mum who visited New Zealand last week, thanks Mum!

Day 829: Happy Valentines Day!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

I’d like to wish all my fellow Shredders and readers a Happy Valentines Day today. I trust you had a great one, the town was certainly painted red over here!

I’d also like to send a special message to anyone who was affected by the devastating bushfires that recently hit Victoria in Australia. These fires were the largest non-wartime natural disaster to ever hit Australia. The fires raged through many parts of rural victoria and left a trail of destruction in their wake.

In many cases, the fires spread so fast that many people did not have time to evacuate their homes or retrieve any belongings. However, in the wake of these fires amazing stories of heroism and generosity have emerged which is very heartening to see. My thoughts go out to anyone who was affected by this disaster.

Until tomorrow…

Day 826: Download The Quad Blaster!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

Today I’ll re-introduce you to a special friend of mine…but first a little history!

326 days ago on Day 505: M4 Training Day II Tom Venuto introduced me to a friend of his. Meeting Tom’s friend was literally 125 days in making and a goal that propelled me throughout the duration of Mission 4: Date With Destiny. I can tell you from first-hand experience that Tom’s buddy is a tough hombre who prefers to let actions speak louder than words. In fact he doesn’t speak at all, he really is the “strong & silent type”.

“I’d Like To Introduce You To My Little Friend” said Tom Venuto

As I mentioned previously my friend and I go way back. It was quite a weird introduction, Tom actually pulled him out of the trunk of The Burn The Fat Mobile!

His Name is Quad Blaster…The Son of Carlos.

Tom and Mr. Quad Blaster then put me through an intense training session on M4: Training Day II. Even though we only spent 10 minutes together he made a big impression on me…literally!

Day 505: “Say Mercy To The Quad Blaster”

Is Using The Blaster “Painful”?

The Quad Blaster is not for the faint of heart as this video shows. Yes, the exercise itself does require the user to move above and beyond the “pain threshold”. The Quad Blaster is for people who are serious about getting tangible results from their training efforts.

Quite simply: Above average results require an above average effort.

“Weight Loss Gimmicks” And “Quick Fixes” Do Not Work.

The notion that anyone can get great results from minimal effort and time expenditure is rampant across the Web these days. There are a ton of fad diets and gimmick training books for sale that pitch you on 4-Minute Abs or only 3 Days a Week Training. These kinds of books have been around for decades and they will be around in years to come as long as there are people who seek a “quick fix” to weight loss.

The Truth Is This…

If you desire the kind of “beach body” you see plastered across Calvin Klein billboards then you must educate yourself on what it really takes to transform your physique to hit that level of muscularity and leanness. Once you fully understand the effort and dedication required to make a full-blooded physique transformation then you must implement all components (mindset, weight training, cardio and nutrition) on a daily basis with absolute precision.

There Is More to The Blaster Than Meets The Eye

The Quad Blaster was originally designed to prevent pain in the lower back. Read on to learn more about how The Blaster can actually help you prevent lower back pain while working your Quads. Here are a couple of pics below that were taken on Day 505 by my Fellow Shredder Agent (Codename L) with a few training notes. A full instruction manual is provided with every Quad Blaster.

Quad Blaster: Start Position

Note: To maintain maximum tension on your quads you don’t lock out at the top.

Quad Blaster: Finish Position

Note: To maximize the effectiveness of the Quad Blaster go below parallel (keeping your feet in front of your knees, chest out and head up) and do your reps in one continuous motion, i.e. don’t stop at the “top” or “bottom” of the movement.

Meet Carlos DeJesus, Father Of The Quad Blaster

The Quad Blaster is the brainchild of Carlos DeJesus who originally conceived of The Blaster in 1974. In 1979 Carlos had the plans copyrighted and 22 years later he would have a US Patent on The Blaster design. Put simply, the Quad Blaster is an original design.

The Storied 34-Year History of The Blaster

In 1974 Carlos had been exercising with weights for 10 years, but because of a sacro-lumbar strain and a degenerative disc condition he had constant back pain. Carlos was unable to do squats with enough weight to challenge his thighs to grow.

Overcoming Lower Back Pain Was The Goal For Carlos

One day he was wondering if there is some other way he could exercise his thighs without the crippling back pain he experienced with Squats. At the time there weren’t very many options. So he began to experiment on making some type of a “machine” that would give him muscular contraction in the Quads without the back pain.

The Quad Blaster Is Born!

Carlos tried everything he could think of until one day it all came together. After six months of experimentation he had his first prototype of what would later be called the Quad Blaster. Carlos then used it for 4 years before he even let anyone look at it. During that time he attempted to refine and streamline his new invention to improve its appearance, but he found that the original design very functional. It was light in weight, which made it portable, and it worked his thighs like nothing else ever did.

Carlos DeJesus became a World Champion Natural Bodybuilder Using The Blaster

The Quad Blaster then helped Carlos train for and win the 1980 Virginia State Bodybuilding Championships, Mr. USA and Mr. North America in 1981, and the Natural-For-Life World Bodybuilding Championships in 1985.

Download Your Own Quad Blaster!

Now, for the first time ever you can actually download the patented plans to the Quad Blaster and build your own! That’s right, due to massive demand Carlos DeJesus is now making it easier than ever by providing a step-by-step manual that instructs you how to build your very own Blaster! In fact, I was actually privileged enough to get an advance copy of Carlos’ new eBook and I vouch 100% for it’s detailed simple to follow instructions.

Check it out for your self by going to the official Quad Blaster web site here and discover for yourself how you can implement it into your lower body training routine. The Blasterwill especially help those who experience lower back pain when doing Squats.

Fact: Carlos personally trained 12 people using The Blaster and they all became Champions…every one of them. Maybe The Quad Blaster could help you in your quest for strengthened quads without lower back pain?

Ok Shredders, its lights out for me now! Until tomorrow…

Eat Clean, Shred Hard, Think BIG!

Cheers, Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

Day 825: That Was Fun!

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

What a wild few days it has been! Ever since my last post here I have been knee deep in “PHP Code” (backend scripting software using for blogs and other database driven sites) trying to export this blog to my own hosted domain on WordPress.org (along with writing up a heavy duty promo letter for the RTP Transformation System – like writing another book!).

As you can see I have not been successful as yet! While I am fairly computer literate (even though I am 100% self-taught) I have discovered that editing PHP code is not my forte’!

Actually, the whole reason why this proved to be such a challenge is because my blog is 6 times larger than the allowed “import limit” (over 700 posts and 4,000 comments since I started!) which necessitated a backend “PHP.ini” workaround.

Anyway, I have not given up! I will get this job done one way or another, as I believe this blog really does need a big overhaul in order to enhance navigation and video capabilities…even if I have to get a professional to help me!

Onto more important news…there have been two major events in the past couple of days in the ShredderSphere!

Dougal’s Homecoming

Firstly, the ShredderSphere Ironman, Dougal from MindBody Super Fit is now back home after his mammoth operation to remove some hardware from his skull. Once again, Dougal has come through a harrowing experience and lived to tell the tale. Welcome back my friend, and I look forward to seeing you back in the Sphere again soon mate.

Check out Dougal’s homecoming post here (not for the faint of heart)

Sayonara Danny

Secondly, I’d like to bid an official farewell to Danny from Physique Improvement who has now gone to do Basic Training in the US Air Force. Danny made a massive transformation over his 214 days in the ShredderSphere (which also helped him to pass his PAST test) and was a massive source of positive energy and support for all his fellow Shredders. All the best in your new career Danny, you’ll be missed mate.

Check out Danny’s sayonara post here.

Until tomorrow…

Day 820: Moving House

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

I have bitten the bullet…this blog needs a major overhaul!

While WordPress.com has been great (light years ahead of Blogger!) it is time to play with the big boys and move to WordPress.org (client-side software, privately hosted). The main reasons why I am moving are the lack customizability with the template, lack of design options, zero plugins and lack of support for privately hosted videos (non-YouTube) due to a restriction on Java embeds.

Thus, over the next few days I’ll be conducting a major upgrade to RTP-Blog.com. During this time, this blog will still be accessible from the main domain www.RTP-Blog.com for the vast majority of the time.

However, there will be some downtime during the “physical” changing of hosts. If this occurs please use this URL to access this blog: www.rtpblog2.wordpress.com

Until tomorrow…

Eat Clean, Shred Hard, Think BIG!

Cheers,

Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

P.S. Thank you Shredders for your great response to Day 818: Tomorrow Never Comes and sending your positive vibes over to Dougal. I know he appreciates our support very much.

Day 818: Tomorrow Never Comes

Posted by: Adam Waters | Comments (0)

G’day Shredders,

As many people know, Dougal from Mind Body Superfit has been having some serious health challenges over the past year stemming from a freak surfing accident that caused some major damage to his skull and spine. The good news is that Dougal has just successfully undergone a very serious operation to remove some hardware from his head that his body had been rejecting (present since his first operation one year ago).

I and many other Shredders are very glad to hear that Dougal is doing great, and we all wish him the speediest of recoveries from his latest operation, and trust that Dougal will be back with us in real time very shortly.

It really is times like these that make you realize how our lives can change course in a matter of seconds. The time we have here really is finite. This is why I firmly believe that living your life in “real time” and realizing just how little time we have here on this planet can be a great motivator for people who habitually procrastinate about taking massive action (like I did for 6 long years).

Here’s the bottom line: Tomorrow never comes, the only time you have is right here, right now.

Make the most of the time you have left on this planet  and be cognizant of that fact that your number will be called one day, the only question is when. The alternative is living a life that inevitably leads to that one place you don’t wanna be…the infamous “rocking chair of regret.”

Until tomorrow…

Eat Clean, Shred Hard, Think BIG!

Cheers,

Adam Waters, NESTA-CPT

P.S. Check out Dougal’s post regarding his successful operation here (made by Karen, Dougal’s First Lady!).

G’day Shredders,

What an awesome day! I celebrated my 35th birthday today with my whole family… for the first time in 12 years! (Because I have lived interstate and overseas since ’97). It was great to blow out the candles on my (chocolate!) birthday cake with my nephews and family at home here in Brissy!

Thank You Shredders!

And just when I thought this day couldn’t get any better I got awesome birthday wishes and a massive pressie from my Shredder Family inside ShredderSphere 2.0 and on my blog! Thank you Lilla from the Labrawtory, Mike from Aussie BodyBuilder, Mark from Journey To 185, Lynda from It’s Now Or Never,  Juli from Run Wild, Danny from Physique Improvement, Suzette from Quest For Success, Ron from My Transformation, Debbie from Can We Talk, Bob from Prepare For Glory and Angie from Breaking Bad Habits for your awesome birthday wishes! I am very privileged to call you my friends and I know we are gonna have a massive 2009 shredding together in real time!

Lilla Goes Massive!

And then…it happened! The famous Lilla from the Labrawtory made an absolutely amazing video for the Shredder Family titled, 2008 The Year In Review. Thank you so much Lilla, you have truly outdone yourself, I don’t know if there is any way this one can be topped! You captured the Shredder Year 2008 in such great style. I love the Challenge pics, the travel pics, the pics with Tom Venuto, our NYC pics and the many fun pics of us throughout ’08 (Mike Groom in a stunning outfit, Lynda with a stunning painting and much much more!)

You gotta watch Lilla’s 2008 Tribute vid (you can also watch Lilla’s happy birthday vid from one year ago today as well below, this video was also off the Richter)
