Day 748: New Audio From Tom Venuto!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
I just got listening to an awesome new audio interview (external link) from my role model and fat burning mentor, Tom Venuto.
In this interview Tom discusses his newest insights, strategies and tips for 2009 along with his new book, The Body Fat Solution which will be hitting bookshelves in early January.
Here are some of the topics covered in this teleseminar:
- Tom’s simple solution to End emotional eating and stop diet self sabotage once and for all.
- The massive confusion-causing and myth-making problem even worse than information overload and Tom’s fool-proof solution.
- Tom says, Body fat is NOT a problem, it’s a _________________ (get this, or you’ll be barking up the wrong tree forever)
- Why people are failing with applying positive thinking and law of attraction to their fitness efforts.
- How to go beyond goal setting by crafting a powerful “vision” that motivates you for life.
- How to eat healthy food almost unconsciously by using science-proven mental re-programming.
- Weight maintenance strategies of people who lose and keep off 50 lbs or more for 5 years or more

Day 747: Dougal Strikes Again!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
Just a quick one today as it is way past my bedtime now (burning the midnight oil on my RTP System!).
Today I’d like to thank Danny, Suzette, Celina, Diane and Angie for the great advice they gave me on yesterday’s Day 746: Blog Vs Book post regarding effective writing techniques. I had an extremely productive writing day today using these strategies, 20 new pages of raw content complete (way above my normal batting average!)
Before I sign off today I’d like to give a very special Shredder Shout-Out to my long-time online buddy, Dougal from Mind Body SuperFit. Dougal has once again made an extremely informative and inspiring post on his Road Less Travelled Journey today. Check out Dougal’s awesome post here.
Until tomorrow…

P.S. I had to use another camera today as I couldn’t get my old faithful Olympus camera to connect via the USB (looks like I’ll have to go shopping soon!)

Day 746: Blog Vs. Book
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
Today has been a very productive day! I spent most of my waking hours today working on the last remaining Module (to be completed) of my forthcoming RTP Transformation System and am very pleased with the progress. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter every day!
The biggest thing I have learned over the course of writing this System is how greatly your mindset affects your writing ability. For example, when I am writing blog posts I can relay my thoughts relatively quickly because I don’t self-censor as I write. I just let my mind roam free and worry about the editing after the post has been written.
However, when I’m writing for my book I tend to self-censor as I write because psychologically I am thinking “this is a book, this has got to be “perfect”! As you can probably imagine, this approach really slows the writing process as it “blocks the flow” of mental energy in a massive way, and can ultimately lead to full-blown “writer’s block.”
In order to get back “into the groove” I decided to implement some tips that Carlos DeJesus gave me on writing a few days ago, namely, write on the topics you enjoy first and write in “10-minute bursts.” This advice has made the world of difference over the last few days!
My question to my fellow Shredders is this, is your “blog writing mindset” different to your “book/report writing mindset”, and what specific techniques do you use to overcome “writer’s block”? I’d really like to hear your views on this!
Until tomorrow…

P.S. Unfortunately my USB cable for my camera is refusing to connect with my computer so I’ll have to try another method tomorrow (memory card reader) and upload today’s picture (Day 746) then.

Day 745: I Can See Clearly Now…
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
This day will go down as the day I officially regained my vision, clarity, focus and purpose! For the last 3 months I have been struggling with one particular Module on my forthcoming RTP Transformation System.
Non-completion of this Module has been the reason why the release RTP Transformation System has been delayed. Ironically, this was the Module that I originally thought was going to be the “easy one” to finish!
Anyway, 6 days ago I made a decision to blast through “writer’s block” by simply bunkering down for 6 full days and “grinding out” this Module until it was complete. After 12 hour days of wall-to-wall writing, re-writing and editing I am now happy to report that this Module is “in the can” and is immediately available for all RTP Group Shred 2.0 Shredders to review (an email has gone out to all qualified Shredders).
Before I sign off there is one man in particular I’d like to thank for his massive feedback, advice and support in helping me finish this Module, the one and only Carlos DeJesus from http://www.carlosdejesustotalfitness.com. Thank you big time Carlos, you da man!.
Until tomorrow…

Day 743: Lightning Strikes & 500,000 Visitors!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,

Today as I was updating my “Stats Panel” on the right-hand navigation bar I noticed that this blog has now received over 500,000 visitors since Day 1: November 8. 2006!
These visits are the cumulative totals from RTP Blog 1.0 (hosted by Blogger) and the RTP Blog 2.0 (this one!) Interestingly, around 40% of the total visits (230,000) have come since I switched from Blogger to WordPress on Day 536.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my fellow Shredders and loyal readers who regularly visit this blog and post comments. The journey we have shared together and the friendships we have made is a testament to what can happen when like-minded people come together organically for a common purpose and use the power of the Internet for good.
I wonder what the next 2 years will bring…
Until tomorrow…

P.S. My “radical” picture will have to wait as I had to take “shelter” under my patio roof because the lightning and thunder was still out in full force tonight. Below is a pic taken from my backyard at 8:00PM. The lightning was so constant it literally turned night sky blue for over an hour!
