Day 605: Positive Pressure
ByG’day Shredders,
In yesterday’s Day 604: RTP Shred 1.0 Reveal post I implemented a “positive pressure” technique by stating my physique goal for August 10, 2008. Now that my goal is “public” I have no choice but to follow through and get the job done, or risk the consequences (humiliation!)
In my experience “positive pressure” techniques such as this are a great way of “forcing” yourself out of your comfort zone and propelling you towards a full-blooded physique transformation.
While I have implemented a few different “positive pressure” techniques since I started this blog none of them come close to the pressure I felt in the lead-up to M4 Training Day with Tom Venuto.
The pressure of having to “stack up” on Tom’s “home turf” was a major factor in why I hit the best shape of my life for this mission.
Below you can see two examples of Mission 4 “positive pressure” in action.

Today’s Question
My question today is, have you had a similar “positive pressure” experience where you attained results that exceeded your expectations? If so, is there a way you can apply more “positive pressure” to your current Mission in order to hit your “dream body”?
Cheers,
AJ
P.S. If you’d like a dose of “positive pressure” right now be sure to check out Lilla’s Shredder+ Running Challenge where each participant is held accountable to their stats in real time (and in full view of the ShredderSphere!)

Until tomorrow…

Cheers,

Positive pressure applied correctly definitely works. I am positive that you are going to be in incredible shape at the reveal!
Positive pressure is proven! I’m applying positive pressure by telling everyone I’m going to be in competition ready form by October!
Hey Adam,
I just bought Metabolic Surge. I’ve read it through twice now. Any suggestions on tips for successfully doing this? I am thinking of starting it 36 days before my goal date of August 31st. So I have a few weeks to get prepared to execute it. Thanks for the offer to add me to the Role. Count me in.
I will look forward to your August 10 goal date. I know you won’t humiliate yourself.
Train Hard – Train Smart
No doubt about the effects of positive pressure mate. BTW 100 days since you/TV, hard to believe. Just goes to show that one can completely transform in the flash of an eye. Amazing.
I’d love to get involved in Lilla’s Nike+ challenge. Don’t think walking’s quite going to cut it though.
The positive pressure of the Shredder+ Nike Challenge has been amazing! My plan was to run 3 miles max/day and i’ve already had some 5 mile days. Even though it’s a group challenge, I am really competing with myself in trying to improve my time/distance. It’s all about reaching personal bests every day to grow and change.
Dougal, walking certainly does cut it as long as you give it your best effort every time and you certainly do!
Adam, you’re proof that positive pressure works! In fact, I’ve no doubt that WHATEVER goal you state publically on your blog WILL come to pass.
Hi Michael and Mike, you guys are definitely leading the charge and implementing positive pressure with the way you set goals and hold yourself accountable.
Hi Larry, did you download the “Maximize Surge” eBook I wrote that complements Surge? There are a ton of details in there.
Hi Dougal, thanks mate! I reckon you could handle the Challenge mate by getting up your walking stats (until you are ready t get back into running).
Hi Lilla, thanks for your vote of confidence! The Shredder Challenge has been awesome, and we’ve only just started! Imagine what’ll be like after a month!
