Day 570: Shredder Smoothie, Lincoln Chillin' & South Beach 2.0!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
I located the World’s First RTP Approved smoothie today! Check out the The Shredder® Smoothie with Gladiator Protein below!
1) The Shredder Smoothie! (check where I’m pointing).

Getting Crunched!
After my close encounter with The Shredder Smoothie I headed over to Crunch Gym (the major competitor to Gold’s Gym on South Beach) and I was very impressed! As there are two Crunches in South Beach I’ll file a detailed report tomorrow about the best one.
While I couldn’t take pics inside the gym I did get a pic out the front.
2) Out the front of Crunch Gym, South Beach

Chillin’ On Lincoln
From Crunch Gym I made my way back towards my hotel via the famous boulevard of Lincoln Road which runs right through the heart of South Beach. Lincoln Road is famous for its many restaurants, cafes, stores, clubs and the buzz it generates from 7:00PM every night!
3) In front of Van Dyke Cafe (hang out for “South Beach Royalty”) on Lincoln Road

SoBe 2.0
To cap off another awesome day I made my second pilgrimage to South Beach (SoBe). While yesterday was a write-off due to the constant downpour today SoBe was back to its stunning best.
The sun was out, the weather was perfect, the people were chillin’, just another day in paradise!
4) Chillin’ On South Beach

Ok Shredders, I gotta go now as it is time for a late-night (double) session at the hotel gym.
Live SoBe Video Coming Soon
I’ll be back soon with my Day 570 video which will contain a few hints about a RTP Mystery Event that will take place soon.
If you have any interest in SoBe you definitely will not want to miss this video (for reasons I can’t go into right now). Stay tuned…
Until tomorrow…

Day 569: Shredding At Gold's Gym, South Beach
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
Today was my first full day in Miami and I was determined to make the most of it by going for a morning run along South Beach (SoBe to the locals), but there was just one problem…It was raining cats and dogs!
Raining Cats & Dogs!
Thats right! About 5 minutes after I hit the beach trail I got absolutely pummeled as the heavens opened up in a big way!
Once the rain let up a little about 20 minutes later I decided to make a run for it back to the hotel. I got the gym key from the front desk and scooted over to 6-Tatami Mat Hotel Gym (Japanese for very small!) and completed my steady-state cardio workout on the treadmill.
Gold’s Gym, South Beach: RTP Review
After an awesome late lunch at a hip new salad restaurant called Giardino Gourmet Salad I made the pilgrimage to the one and only Gold’s Gym South Beach.
I really enjoyed my upper body workout at this Gold’s Gym. While the range of free weight and machine equipment does not rival the Mecca of East Coast Bodybuilding - Strong & Shapely in New Jersey – there were still a lot more “toys” than the usual gym I see in Japan.
The gym itself has 3 floors with free weights & machines on the ground floor, cardio on the second floor and aerobics studio on the third floor. The gym really is a sight to behold and easily the best gym in SoBe.
Live Pics From Gold’s Gym, SoBe
I would love to show you pics from inside the gym but the staff would not allow that because “there are many high profile people in the gym who do not want to be filmed”!
However, one staff member was kind enough to take a pic of me outside the gym. Check them out below!

2) The Entrance of Gold’s Gym on Alton Road

Until tomorrow…

Day 568: Live From South Beach, Miami!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
Thank you Andrew: Blood, Sweat & Tears Blog and Lynda: 130 On My Way Blog for your guesses to yesterday’s Day 567: Guess Where I’ll Be Tomorrow post.
Lynda actually got very close by saying the Bahamas which was a great guess as the Panama Hat & white suit hints were very tough to narrow down to Miami!
Miami Heat!
After 8 weeks of planning and implementation the final phase of my USA Reconnaissance Mission and I can feel the heat…literally!
That’s right, I have touched down in one of the World’s most beautiful beaches, South Beach in Miami, Florida!
Having grown up in a small town in Oz and seeing Miami featured in so many TV shows and movies it was a surreal moment to actually see the sights of Miami with my own two eyes!
Searching For South Beach
Within one hour of hitting Miami Beach I began my search for the place I had set my heart on 8 weeks ago…the one and only South Beach!
I knew South Beach was walking distance from my hotel so I headed straight for the beach by following the cool breeze (and the Ritz Carlton!).
My Jaw Dropped!
My jaw dropped when I got to South Beach for the first time. The views were breathtaking, I was genuinely blown away by the amazing panoramic vista that stretched as far as the eye could see.
You can get a feel for how stunning the views are of South Beach from this 2006 picture below from the Wikipedia.org/South_Beach Entry.
While I still find it very hard to describe in words just how beautiful South Beach is, I do have the next best thing…pictures!
Live Pictures From South Beach!
Below are some pics that were taken in the late afternoon today, May 29, 2008.
1) Standing on the one and only South Beach!

2) Standing on South Beach (reverse) overlooking
the world famous art-deco skyline.

3) A perfect way to cap off my first day in Miami…a South Beach Caesar!

South Beach Trivia
Ok Shredders, before I sign off today I’ll leave you with a piece of trivia about South Beach from Wikipedia.org/South_Beach.
South Beach is one of the world’s foremost locations for fashion shoots, making the Miami area the model shoot capital of the United States. Approximately 1500 models live in the area, with many more arriving during the prime fashion shooting season, October to March.

Amidst all the Shredder Council™ action the last two days there has been another major event that has taken place inside The ShredderSphere™.
That’s right! It is “reveal time” for The New York Four’s Beach Body Shred Mission which finished on May 26, 2008 (Memorial Day Holiday in The USA!).
Congratulations Suzette: Quest For Success Blog, Joni: Nana Korobi Ya Oki Blog, Debbie: Can We Talk Blog and Kali Lilla: My Self Fulfilling Prophecy Blog on completing your 56 Summertime Shred Mission.
I take my hat off to you guys because I remember when this idea was first floated during the East Coast Shredder Summit (ECSS) 2008 and it is awesome to see that all New York Four Members followed through in unison and got the job done in accordance with your Mission Parameters.
So, without further adieu, check out The New York Four’s Final Pictures for yourself!
