Day 418: Last Workout For 2007! Happy New Year!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
In fact this is my second low-key NYE in a row, except this year I have gone one better by having zero alcohol (last year I had one glass). I have decided that my M4 Shred Mission takes absolute precedence over any party.
Anyway, time sure does fly when you are having fun! Here we on New Year’s Eve 2007 and I have finally gotten in my Lactic Acid Part 2 workout at Gold’s Gym Juso (originally scheduled two days earlier)
While it was a solid workout today my mind did wander back to New Year’s Eve last year when I was on Day 52 of Mission 1 getting in a similar Lactic Acid Training workout on the Gold Coast. What a coincidence! Check it out below.

N.B. Shredders I will be back later today (US Time) for the 1st Annual RTP Year In Review: 2007 where I’ll look back on this year and share with you some mind-blowing stats!
N.B. In another separate post I will also outline some ideas on how we can rejuvenate the Shredder Council and incorporate the ShredderSphere & Group Shred elements into the bigger picture.
P.S. Below is the YouTube version of the Week 1: Push-Up Challenge video that I originally uploaded yesterday.

*Important:
Feel free to use this plan as a template that you can follow. However, this plan is is based on my own personal experience over 3 physique transformation missions. In other words, what works for me may not work for you in the same way.
Success in this game requires research, individual design, real-world testing, monitoring results and making adjustments when necessary. This is your responsibility, no one else can do it for you. However, if you’d like to research further the exact programs I have used (over my first 3 Missions) and will use for M4 Shred you can do so at the links below.
M4 Shred Components: Click each link to learn more.
1) Fat Burning: 16 Principles of BFFM: nutrition, mindset and cardio.
2) Weight Training: Metabolic Surge: 36 Day Rapid Fat Loss System.
3) Six-Pack Training: Flatten Your Abs: 7-Level Training System.

Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
From now until until the duration of the current Shredder Challenges I’ll post a Shredder Challenge Weekly Video Wrap every Sunday. Along with documenting my progress with Tea’s Push-Up Challenge I will include a URL round-up of all the current Shredder Challenges.
N.B. For the time being I have limited this video to my blog. For all current Challenge hosts and participants please watch the video to the end where I give URL’s and screenshots of your blogs. If you are cool with this (and would like to increase the accountability factor!) I’ll upload this video to YouTube tomorrow. Please let me know in the comments section.

Day 6 of 84
Nutrition: My nutrition was spot on today.
Training: I mistimed my run to the gym today as they were operating on holiday time and closed at 6:00PM! This is the first time I have actually missed a scheduled workout for as long as I can remember! However, I will make up for it tomorrow and put in a big one as it will be my last for 2008.

Day 416: A "Forced" Rest Day
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
My computer has recently slowed to a crawl due to the computer’s HD space being just about maxed out for the last couple of weeks. The reason for this is because I now have over 7,000 pictures in HQ plus a ton of raw iMovie files. After a while this really chews up the space.
So today I went out and bought a 750GB hard drive which should last me for a while. I am actually now in the process of creating a massive back-up, hence the reason I am late with today’s post!
On the training front I’ll be heading off to two different Gold’s Gyms over the next 4 days as my local gym will be closed during this Japanese holiday period. I’m actually looking forward to training in a new environment (and at a top-class gym!). I love my local gym but they don’t have a few of the basics like Leg Press or Calf Press machines.
P.S. Shredders, be sure to check out Suzette’s push-up Challenge video below, great way to document your weekly progress Suzette!
M4 Shred
Day 5 of 84
Nutrition: I got in every meal today on my pre-determined plan.
Training: Today was a rest day, so no news to report here. Back in full swing tomorrow.

Day 415: ShredderSphere Goes Live!
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
I have updated your Blog Links and put in 4 new Shredder Categories: Challenges; Milestones; Videos and Podcasts. Check it out below and let me know what you think in the comments section.
I’d also like to tip my hat to my Fellow Shredders. You have taken the initiative and massively increased the accountability factor by starting your own Challenges, Videos and Podcasts. It is awesome to see and to think the ShredderSphere has only been operational for a few weeks! We are only scratching the surface of how far we can take this!
One thing I may do is put these new categories permanently in the sidebar and make separate posts for each category in the next few days but first I wanted to give you a straight up preview in one single post.
N.B. If I have overlooked anyone’s category please let me know and I’ll fix it ASAP. Also, if you do start to make videos, podcasts or challenges please use the “labels” feature in Blogger so I can link direct to your category instead of one single post.
P.S. If anyone knows how to make external links open up a new window with the existing Blogger Code please let me know how to do it!
P.S.S. NewsFlash for East Coast Shredders: Please check Lilla’s SU ASAP for new details regarding ECSS if you haven’t already.
M4 Shred
Day 4 of 84
Nutrition: I finally nailed every meal today and scored my first “10″ on the daily accountability score. Today was a “re-feed” day so I had more carbs than usual. This is a technique I learned from BFFM to prevent metabolic slowdown.
Training: Today was Lactic Acid Training (Day 4 of Surge) along with Core Combo and 10 minutes of Steady State cardio to finish off. Training felt good today as I was completely rested.

Day 414: Hybrid Cardio Revisited
Posted by: | CommentsG’day Shredders,
After some extreme sleep patterns the last couple of days I feel I am finally getting back in the groove as I came very close today to hitting my first “10″. Thank you Christy (and anonymous) for your advice, I’m gonna try some meditation and quieten my mind a bit.
M4 Shred
Day 3 of 84
Nutrition: I gave myself a No vote on Meal 1 because I didn’t time it right. Once again, I did get back on track with all other meals going according to plan.
Hybrid Cardio/Abs: I did my first M4 Shred cardio and ab training today. I have fine-tuned a cardio program over the last year that works well for me. I call it Hybrid Cardio as it includes HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Steady State (Moderate intensity) with Ab training in the middle of these two 15 minute cardio sessions.
I will go into Hybrid Cardio in much more detail in the future but if you are curious you can check out this Hybrid Cardio Day 105 Post during Mission 2.
I’m gonna sign off now and try to get some early sleep, but I’ll be back tomorrow with a ShredderSphere Bumper edition!
